Can I stop my current medical treatment and replace it with Reiki or Reflexology ?
It is extremely unwise for anyone to stop medical treatment without proper medical supervision!!
REIKI & REFLEXOLOGY PRACTITIONERS
DO NOT DIAGNOSE
DO NOT PRESCRIBE
DO NOT CHANGE MEDICATION ORDERS
DO NOT CLAIM TO HEAL
We gather clues from assessments find patterns and track reported symptom changes. We leave diagnosing and prescribing to the professionals who are legally able to do so. We may suggest you discuss persistent tender reflexes or symptom changes with your physician but it is out of our scope of practise to do anything further. We are facilitators and as such we stimulate the body to heal itself and empower our clients to take a positive role in their own health.
How many Reflexology sessions will I need to have to get results?
Unfortunately, there is no magic number of sessions per condition or concern. Reflexology is a personal experience as your body is unique and your pain, stress etc. is yours and yours alone. This may sound vague but it is your body that is healing itself and it choses the order in which you heal. The one thing that is common to all is the general order of self correction, FIRST IN LAST OUT. The longer your have a condition the longer it will take to resolve.
The general scheduling rule is one month of reflexology for every year you have a had a condition. The tricky part is finding the right number of sessions per month to get to your goal and then how often you will need a session to maintain it.
Generally every time there is a significant improvement your sessions can be reduced first by number then by interval. Each person is different, and change can occur at anytime. It is not unusual for one condition to resolve only to have a new issue appear as the body works to find balance. Acute Conditions causing the most pain or discomfort require all the body’s energy so once the imbalance is corrected the body reassess and targets its next concern if there is one. Since Reflexology stimulates reflexes throughout the entire body it is highly unlikely that the process will begin at the acute stage unless there has been a new trauma or major life change.
